FIRST in Rochester Community Schools

Our Cadet Pipeline

The FEDS (201) proudly sponsor over 80 FIRST programs in the Rochester Community Schools across the K-8 grades. As of January 2023, our agents have started 20 FLL Challenge teams, 60 FLL Explore teams and 4 FTC teams since 2020. Last year, the FEDS brought over 700 new students into the FIRST fold through K-8 programs.  To do this, we built strong relationships with principals, district administrators, and parent volunteers while also managing grants and donations. Furthermore, our students have provided over 2,000 hours of weekly mentoring to these teams. Overall, the FEDS have introduced more than 1,000 new students to FIRST programs in the past five years.
