The field build team and the mini-bot build team.

What do you do for a living? 

I am the engineering manager for the global engineering group at Cosma International, a wholly-owned operating unit of MagnaInternational.  Cosma is one of the world's premier global automotive suppliers providing a comprehensive range of body structure systems, closure systems, energy management systems and chassis systems.  Cosma has a proven track record for full program management of complete vehicle systems, such as the complete engineering of various body-in-white systems and structural solutions for the solar industry.

How many years have you been a mentor?

This is my first year as a mentor.  Prior years I helped the design team and robot build team as time permitted.

What is your favorite part of robotics?

The inclusion of all students no matter their skill level or knowledge level and  the growth of the students from the beginning of the season to the end.  I am amazed at the skills that are learned by each individual.

What is your favorite robotics memory?

I don’t have one favorite robotics memory, but I do enjoy the competitions every year.   I enjoy seeing the competition and cooperation between all the teams.
